AKA: Bargot and RBJG
In the mid 90s, Jay with an associate developed and launched a European fashion line: Barbarossa Gotlieb, also known as Bargot and RBJG. Paying homage to the likes of Versace and Dolce & Gabbana, Barbarossa Gotlieb sought to capture the upscale club and dinner wear niche. The line thrived, making its way across Europe with fashion shows in Paris and London and showrooms in London and Milan. Jay modeled the line in a full page spread for Vogue Uomo Italia. With a growing fashion line in Europe and having just completed construction of his dream home in the Bahamas, Jay made the difficult decision to step back from the fashion world and focus his attention on his finance and film career in the Bahamas.
